Sacramento Cyclocross

Hello all race fans.  We hope your holidays have been splendid!

We are getting set for the final race of the series at Sutters Landing.  The last two years at this location have been enhanced with torrential downpours the day of the race.  While the river’s edge is usually “fun” to ride, the extra wet weather increases the grease effect.

Here are some significant notes regarding this race.  The race points are worth double.  This race cannot be counted as a throw away race.

We will host our awards/raffle party at Old Soul Bakery (1716 L Street) starting from 5:30pm. If you completed all 5 races this year then you will receive a commemorative Pint glass.  The pint glass will come in handy for sampling an adult beverage. Make sure you get your pint glass!

We will begin the night with overall series awards.  This year we are going to recognize 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall series leaders.  After all the awards are handed out, then we will complete the raffle. (You must be present to win)

Hello race fans!  We hope you had a blast.  The weather conditions turned Granite Beach into a slick muddy race that was fun all day long.  The overall results have been updated with points earned thus far.

A few notes about the last race of the season.  The points awarded at the last race will not be dropped.  The points are worth double.  The race is in the calendar year 2009, so you will need a 2009 race license.  Buy your race license now online through USA Cycling or buy a one day license at the race.

Sacramento Cyclocross heads to Granite Bay Beach for round number 4 of the series.  Points are getting close in quite a few categories.  The temperatures are getting colder, and the ground is getting wetter.  Hopefully you are still finding some time to get out there and hold onto your fitness.  The course will consist mostly of decomposed granite, some dirt, a little single track, and maybe some pavement for a start finish area.
