Jeremy Ferguson
November 30, 2007You won’t see this kid racing in Sacramento this weekend. That’s because Jeremy Ferguson will be up in Portland fighting his way up the rankings in this year’s Junior 17-18 USGP series.
Jeremy is one of the most mild mannered racers I have ever met. He has the grace to attack technical sections at a high rate of speed and make it look easy. He can climb like the elevation gain doesn’t exist. And, just when your at your wits end, he’ll throw another attack that sends a flood of lactic acid into your legs. Afterwards, he will come up to you and tell you good job and be 100% sincere about the compliment.
This is Jeremy’s last year as a Junior. The goal is to make it to make the selection for the Junior National Team that will head over to Italy for the world championships. This kid is definitely racing at the Elite level.
There is a huge difference between A’s and Elite. Racings A’s when the Elites are in town feels like you made last chair of the honor band. Yeah you have some chops, but it’s far from Elite. Jeremy is riding at the elite level. Check out his results at the local Bay Area Series races.
On that note, good luck in Portland! Tear up that lawn kid.
