Race #1 Wrap Up

September 26, 2007

The first Sacramento race of the season is behind us and I think all went well.  The course made for some great battles and great racing throughout the day.  In just about every category most riders were duking it out instead of riding alone.

At this point, we have results and some photos up, but we didn’t have a camera man at every race (if you have your own photos, let us know and we’ll arrange to get them up!).  Anyhow, I hope everyone had fun and we’ll see you in October for NCNCA cup #2/Sac #2.

Please remember:  KEEP YOUR NUMBER, YOU WILL BE USING IT AT THE NEXT RACE!

Season Kick-Off

September 17, 2007

del paso park

Sunday, Sept. 23rd, marks the kick-off for the Sacramento Cyclocross Series. The first race of the series will be held at Del Paso Park / Henry Renfree Feild. There is plenty of parking the race site. Look for the huge softball field on Auburn Blvd. The course will be 60% grass and 40% dirt. The course layout will feature plenty of fast sections to open up the lungs, and some tight twisty sections to get the leg burn going.

Race fees will be $30 except juniors who pay $15. Remember, this is a USA Cycling event and a USCF racing license is required. If you do not have a USCF license, then you may purchase a One Day License for an additional $10.

Also, we will have Jerseys and Wind Vests for sale. These custom Jerseys have been designed for us by local artist Brian Opsal. The Jerseys price is $60 and the Wind Vest price is $55.

Raceday Neutral Support

September 11, 2007

Endless props go out to MadCat bicycles and William’s Cycling for providing series-long neutral race day support to registered Sac CX racers.

MadCat Bikes will be handling on site tech support to make sure those wheels keep rolling, brakes keep stopping, and gears keep shifting (unless you’re a masochist SS’er).MadCat Bikes will be providing neutral support at all Sac CX races this year.

Williams Cycling will be providing a neutral wheel support tent for riders who have wheel-related mechanicals during their race.Williams Cycling will be providing race day neutral wheel support to Sac CX’ers

We can’t thank either of these guys enough for this. Support their businesses and stop by when you see them at the races to let them know how awesome they are.
