Sacramento Cyclocross #5 THE FINALE
January 14, 2010The parking fee at Granite Bay Beach has increased to $10. Sacramento CX will refund you $5.00 by showing us your parking tag.
Hey Race Fans-
Well, here it is already, the FINALE! From the scorching 100+ degree day at Del Paso Park to the wind swept fields and BMX track at the ‘Compound’ to the Super Speedway of Discovery Park then to Lange Twins Winery for some euro style power testing, it comes down to this ‘The Finale’. This Saturday, Jan 16, we will be racing on the classic course at Granite Beach in Folsom Ca. for the last race of the 2009/2010 season. Almost all of the overall category winners will be decided this Sat. With the threat of yet another winter storm looming, we have the potential makings for a perfect season ending epic cyclocross race.
Following the race we will be doing our overall series winner awards and raffle. This year takes us to the midtown restaurant Hot Italian. (16TH & Q MIDTOWN) We are scheduled to start serving pizza around 4:30 pm or so and will start the awards ceremony around 5 pm. If you have not been there then now is your chance to try some great pizza in cool place. There will be secured bicycle parking and storage.
I want to thank everyone for another great season and all the support.

License Reminder
January 13, 2010Just a reminder that our last race is in 2010 and the USA Cycling license you have been racing on all year is now expired. I would urge you all to hop on over to USA Cycling’s website and register for your 2010 racing licence. There are provisions to register both online and to print out a form but I would recommend the former over the latter. Once you get registered you can print out an authorization to race and you can show this to the people at registration in case you haven’t received your actual racing license yet. If all else fails we will have the appropriate forms for both yearly and one day licenses available on the day of the race. I must say though that it is quicker and easier and with less room for error if you do it online.
